Made in the 1960s, back when US jewelry manufactures made impressive quality Christmas jewelry, this leaping deer brooch is made in my favorite vintage holiday colors of glistening silver with Sapphire blue rhinestone accents. If you remember 1950-1960 Christmas decor, then you will also know that silver and blue holiday decor has come back in style in a big way.
This festive holiday deer pin is a very uncommon design and although it is not signed, I can tell you that it was also made in antiqued gold with red rhinestones and green enamel holly leaves. I however, favor this design because it embodies the silver/blue holiday decor that was fashionable when this brooch was made.
The silver rhodium is exceptional vintage quality and the deer is etched and has clear crystal eyes. The six Sapphire blue rhinestones are all original, present, and sparkling.
The brooch is medium in size at 2" wide x 1 3/4" tall or 5 cm x 4.4 cm. The entire pin both front and back is in pristine like new condition and is microscopically clean. There is not a speck of silver rhodium wear anywhere. The back has the original fine working safety clasp as well.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
