This round Alpaca silver palm tree pin or pendant was made in Mexico in the 1960-1970 era. The palm tree and the beach design are made of premium Abalone sea shell sections and the rain drops in the sky are Mother of Pearl inlay. The background is emerald green poured metallic enamel and the sea gull is silver metal inlay.
 
This "Rainy Day at the Beach" pin is slightly domed on the front and is medium in size at 1 1/2" or 3.8 cm wide. The back is signed Taxco, Alpaca Silver. The pin has the original fine working safety class and a bail for a chain as well.
 
The entire brooch is pristine clean perfect condition with no imperfections or signs of wear. Some small and scant and microscopic scratches on the back from handling.
