I've always admired vintage porcelain jewelry from the 1970s. Its a good thing I've collected some because it is now rather hard to find. Most porcelain jewelry from that era was made in Japan and was popular in Florida and California as many of the designs were tropical. This porcelain necklace with matching clip earrings is an orchid motif in salmon orange, lavender, and gold. The necklace has a large porcelain medallion and porcelain tube beads. The necklace also has glossy white 10 and 12 mm acrylic beads and gold metal accent beads. The earrings are clips and they are the slender lever style that are comfortable to wear. The earrings can be converted to pierced. When clasped, the necklace is 19" or cm long. The focal medallion is 2 1/4" or 57 mm wide. The earrings are 1 1/4" or 32 mm long. All pieces are in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. Only some light microscopic hints of gentle handling on the backs of the flat porcelain beads. The hook clasp is signed Japan.Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation necklace box.
