Made in the 1960s, this silver rhodium metal cat is a very unique vintage design!
 
Most vintage cat pins are just cats; nothing really special about the cat itself except the way they were adorned. The unusual arched shape of this cat draws on American Indian styling very similar to the Indian representation of the bear design. The body of the cat is an openwork web, embellished with square and round cut crystals in hot pink, red, blue, and green. 
 
Medium petite in size, the cat is 1 1/2" long x 1 1/8" tall or 38 mm x 30 mm.
 
The entire pin is in excellent clean like new condition with no imperfections, flaws, or signs of wear. The back has the original fine working safety clasp and the pin is not signed.
