There are only certain styles of Karu Arke designer signed jewelry that Ive collected over the years. I have never been a big fan of their rhinestone jewelry, which is most of what they produced. However, during the 1960-1970 era, they made some of the most unique hip metal bracelets, in addition to other metal enamel jewelry and some very unique Lucite jewelry.

Karu Arke is an abbreviation for Kaufman & Ruderman, Inc. of New York City. They manufactured jewelry from about 1940 to perhaps as late as the 1970s. The comedian Andy Kaufman was the son of one of the company founders.

This wide Fleur de Lis motif bracelet is made of polished gold metal that is thickly cast and very durable. The 5 cabs are boldly domed and finished with white wash enamel.

It measures 7 3/4" long when clasped x 1 5/8 " wide or 19.4 cm x 4.2 cm. The bracelet has a large gold metal fold over box clasp and is signed Karu Arke on the clasp.

The bracelet is in pristine microscopically clean condition with no signs of wear and no imperfections like dings or scratches. There may be some very microscopic white enamel specks of wear along the edges, but it is hard to tell if it is wear or the way in which it was painted, as the white enamel was made to look washed or worn.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
