Made in the 1950-1960 era, these lace celluloid clip earrings are not signed but they were made in West Germany.
They were the only country that made wild celluloid frilly earrings and this unique lace type construction was never copied by any other country. The reason it was never copied is because the process was very difficult and time consuming to make and required very special molds. Germans were the masters of old celluloid jewelry.
Each earring is a 3 layer flower design with lace petals in pearlescent min green. Each flower has a large clear rhinestone at the center and six smaller rhinestones around the perimeter. Both earrings are in pristine like new condition and have never been worn. They clips are perfect with no wear and tight snap.
These frilly flowers are large, but not overwhelming. They measure about 2" wide.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation earring box.
Comes with a free pair of new soft silicon ear cushions for your wearing comfort.
