Made in the 1940s, these vintage cufflinks are a very uncommon old Celtic design. This Celtic dog motif has a significant meaning in Irish Lore, mainly that of being dogs of war, or the qualities of loyalty, and healers of the body and soul.

The cufflinks are shield shapes with a Celtic castle, a dog, and flowing water motif. The cufflinks are made of pewter and they are signed "pewter" on the backs. This is a design that was most likely made in Ireland or England, not the US.

Medium large in size, the shields are 1" or 27 mm tall.  The pair is in pristine like new microscopically clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There is no metal wear and no scratches, scuffs, or dings.

Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation cufflink box as pictured.
