Vintage Wood Earrings California Burl Wood Jewelry
These small button style earrings are made of California Redwood Burl. The earrings are on the original paper stock card and based on the font and the type of paper used, the earrings most likely date from the late 1960s or early 1970s.
The redwood is a deep reddish-brown color and the buttons are angled on the sides. The redwood has a satin waxed finish as well. These earrings are medium petite in size at just 3/4" wide and they are clip earrings. They can easily be converted to pierced earrings by selecting the option box below.
Both earrings are in pristine like new condition and have never been worn. The paper card has been defaced on the front with stickers, but the card reads, " Hand Carved Redwood Burl from California". On the back is a long description about Muir Woods National Monument and at the bottom is an address in Mill Valley for the Muir Woods Inn, where these earrings were sold. I dont think the Muir Woods Inn is in business anymore as they are not online.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
