Butterfly Pin Vintage 3D Enamel Brooch 1960s Jewelry
This unusual vintage butterfly pin is a design that was only made in the mid to late 1950s and the early 1960s. It is a 3D bendable butterfly with the wings folded in half.
The butterfly is made of gold metal and hand painted in colorful enamels. The body, head, and antennae are very detailed and made of gold metal.
This butterfly is not signed but I can tell you, with great certainty, it was made in Korea. I have collected hundreds if not thousands of vintage butterfly pins in my day and designs like this were only made in Korea. Most vintage Korean butterfly pins did not survive over the decades because they were not treated well. Hence, butterfly pins like this one are very uncommon to find.
Medium in size, the butterfly is 2 3/4" tall x 1 3/4" wide or 67 mm x 40 mm.
The entire butterfly is in pristine clean excellent condition with no imperfections like missing paint or dings or dents. There are some very light signs of wear on the wings; just a couple of very tiny scratches and some specks of paint wear just on the edges of the wings. The back has the original fine working C clasp.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation brooch box.
