Antique Dress Clip Gold Lace Flowers w Sapphire Blue Glass
Made in the 1910-1930 era, this romantic dress clip features glowing Sapphire glass egg domes. This old type of Bohemian glass is electric and glows as it is silver backed. The shapes are also very old world ; tall shapes like half of an egg.
The stacked double flower design is a lovely design of layered gold gilt lace filigree. It has a great antique look not just because the patina is old, but also because it is a satin gold gilt finish.
This dress clip, because of its large size, was probably sold individually and not as a set. A dress clip this size was meant to be worn on the collar of a dress off to the side, or front and center.
A large handful, the dress clip is 2 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide or 73 mm x 44 mm. The Sapphire blue glass eggs are about 16 mm wide x 10 mm tall.
Both front and back are in pristine clean condition with no imperfections or flaws. There are no scratches, dings, or cracks to the glass cabs. There is only microscopic light and gentle hints of gold wear, hardly worth noting. The clip is not signed but it is most likely German or Czech in origin.
This dress clip can also be worn as a pendant by simply clipping it to a chain or cord.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation brooch box.
