American Indian Style Necklace Black White Orange 1960s Jewelry
When this necklace was made in the late 1960s or early 1970s, American Indian motifs were very popular.
There was also a sudden realization that necklaces designed like this, but made of real gemstones and agates, were worth a ton of money, some in the thousands of dollars. Of course this necklace does not carry that sort of value as it is made of glossy thermoset plastic beads, but the design represents a motif that is not made anymore.
The necklace is three joined strands of beads in glossy bright white, reddish orange, and black. All of the long rectangular beads are accented with silver metal beads.
The necklace is finished with a large easy to use spring clasp and measures 23 1/2" or 60 cm long. The rectangular tube beads are 1" or 26 mm long. The white rounds are 8 mm.
I have owned this necklace since it was new and it has never been worn. It came from a Cherokee Indian gift shop in the Smokey Mountains. The entire necklace is in sparkling clean pristine like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. All of the beads are glossy with no scratches or wear. The necklaces not signed.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new luxury presentation necklace box.
