For a very short time in the early 1980s, artists in India made hand painted wooden bracelets. There are very hard to find today.
I have owned this bracelet since the early 1980s and it has never been worn. It was not imported into the US, but was purchased in India by a friend while we were there on an oil tanker in the US Merchant Marines.
This medium wide bangle is made of wood and the interior and exterior is glossy cobalt blue enamel paint. The floral designs are metallic gold with hints of red and green. The designs are exceptionally well painted and are of fine artistry.
The bracelet is 1/2" wide and the interior is 2 1/2" wide. The exterior is domed and the enamel paints are in perfect glossy condition with no chips or scratches. No signs of wear anywhere.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
