1980s Big Amethyst Onyx Medallion Eagle Vintage Necklace

This very unique eagle medallion necklace is a handmade design with superb beads and gemstones.

The two strands of beads are genuine Amethyst and Black Onyx 4 mm rounds. The eagle medallion was made on a loom with pearlescent white background beads and metallic purple beads form the eagle. The border is finished with rows of gold and black beads. Along the bottom of the medallion, the wide fringe is made of black glass tube beads and black glass twist beads, finished at the bottom with genuine Amethyst box beads and finally, gold ball beads at the ends.

This eagle is a fascinating presentation piece! The medallion is 5"long x 2 1/2" wide or 12.7 cm x 6.4 cm with the bottom fringe. When clasped with the ornate gold leaf findings, the necklace can be hooked up to 24" or 61 cm long.

This necklace is not signed and based on the entire composition, it was certainly handmade and is probably one of a kind. Assuredly, nothing like this was mass produced. The entire necklace is in fabulous like new condition. It is pristine and microscopically clean all around with no imperfections or flaws. All of the beads and gemstones are perfect with no cracked, chipped, or missing beads. The necklace is finished with a matching Amethyst bead extension chain.
