but those composed of unique vintage beads from various types of wood
from around the world. They are fast becoming hard to find but many
people just dont know anything about old wood beads.
Theses wood beads are cherry wood, stained dark brown. The round bead at the center is about the size of a golf ball or 1 1/4" wide. It is flanked by two beads that are slightly smaller and are oblique with six scalloped sides. At the top are two tear drop rounds. These beads were made on a lathe, then hand sanded. They beads were not mass produced with higher tech machinery that didnt exist in the 1970s.
Look closely at the bell caps on the 3 largest beads. They are sterling silver flowerettes ; very old designs that are not found today. Another quality feature about this necklace : the gold lobster clasp and jump ring are signed 18kt GF.
The 10mm cinnamon round plastic beads are spaced by polished gold metal beads. The brown and white marbled beads are plastic as well.
The necklace is 25" long. the tear drop wood beads are 1 5/8" long. The entire necklace is in pristine like new clean condition. All of the beads are perfect with no scratches, scuffs or chips. The wood has a natural finish and is not faded or dry. The necklace is not heavy or bulky to wear.
