This pair of vintage pin cushions are authentic vintage 1960s or early 1970s. At first you might think you seem mushrooms or toadstools, but they are handmade Italian chefs. They are not frilly pin cushions for ladies like many vintage pin cushion designs. They would be perfect for the guy who likes to sew, or has a need for handy stick pins or safety pins.

The pin cushions were cleverly made from empty spools of thread and embellished with googly eyes, felt faces, and plaid fabric hats with pom-poms.

The pin cushions are 2 1/2" and 3" tall. They are both clean and in good condition with the only signs of wear to the white felt around the spools. One had a felt bottom (covering the bottom of the spool) and the other does not.
