I admire this necklace not only because it is a handmade vintage design from the 1970s but also because Black Lip Mother of Pearl is rare to find in jewelry today. It is not being collected or used in jewelry anymore.

This Black Lip Mother of Pearl medallion is an etched flower design about the size of a silver dollar, or 1 3/8" wide. The design and craftsmanship of this necklace has strong appeal as all of the bone beads are hand carved and hand crafted.

The carved bone bead portion of the necklace is 19" long. The beads are strung on elastic monofilament so it can stretch over your head. This necklace is new and never worn and in perfect like new condition.
