This vintage 1950s signed ART rudbeckia flower pin is a very large design and a very unusual autumn design.
The flowers are late summer hues in glossy enamels of deep bee balm red and bright tangerine orange. The leaf is dark green and the stems are sage green, matching the sage green on the inner portions of the flower petals. The stems are smooth, but the rest of the pin has a deep ridge like texture and the centers of the flowers are beaded or bumpy. The life like textures are nice to feel, and the colors are very unusual - perfect for late summer or fall.
This ART signed flower is very impressive in size at 4 1/8" long x 2 1/4" wide. The pin is in pristine condition like the day it was made. There is no missing enamel or imperfections in any way. It has the original fine working safety clasp. The back of the brooch is finished in yellow gold gilt. The Art signature is hard to find and is located on one of the petals of the smaller flower.
