Made in the 1950s, these very hard to find vintage cufflinks are designer signed Hickok. I adore the designs made by Hickok in the 1950s and 1960s. The designs they made in the 1940s, not so much.
This is an Atomic Space Age or Modern Art design; Domed triangles in hammered heavy gold plated metal with recessed arching geometric black enamel lines. The gold metal is a deep copper gold that lends a burnished effect or a darkened gold look. I imagine this gold color was an experimental color and is probably a mixture of copper and gold. The shape, texture, design, and the color has an appeal that Ive never seen on any pair of cufflinks.
An exceptional design for formal or casusal wear, this is one of Hickok's most prestigious designs. This is a very illusive Hickok design that was made in one year only and was not mass produced. You will most likely never see this design again. As a cufflink collector, Ive had these cufflinks stashed away for at least 30 years and they've never been worn. In all this time, Ive never seen another pair like them for sale anywhere, and I look often online.
Medium in size, the cufflinks are 7/8" or 22 mm wide. The pair is in exceptional pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The gold is clean and bright with no wear and looks like new. Both cufflinks are signed Hickok.
Comes gift wrapped an shipped in a new luxury presentation cufflink box as pictured.
