Made by SELRO in the 1950s, this confetti Lucite bracelet and earring set was an experimental design that was not mass produced. Ladies went crazy over Confetti Lucite jewelry in the 1950s and US jewelry designers were testing many different color combinations. Some of the most popular colors were red with gold, black with gold, and clear with silver.
These scallop shapes or scallop molded cabs are rainbow colored with gold glitter. The scallop settings are also very unique; an antique style in antiqued gold metal. This set is not signed but is assuredly SELRO with the typical Selro back braces and Selro criss- cross patterned link connectors.
The bracelet is a wide design and when clasped, it is 7 3/4" long x 1 1/2" wide or 197 mm x 37 mm. The cabs on the earrings are the same size as the bracelet at 1 1/2" long x 1 1/16" wide or 37 mm x 27 mm.
Some vintage jewelry sellers online are now pricing unique Selro bracelet/earring sets in the $ 175 - $ 250 range. This set is reasonably priced and the entire set is in pristine clean like new condition with no imperfections or flaws. The Lucite cabs are perfect with no scratches, scuffs, or chips. There is no gold wear or loss of gold. The bracelet clasp and the earring clips are all in perfect working order. The set is not signed as many Selro designs were not signed.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in new presentation bracelet and earring boxes.
