This unusual, big, porcelain scarab brooch is a very rare and unique handmade brooch made in the 1940-1950 era.
The scarab was mold made with deep recessed mold lines and the body is glazed in thick glossy colors of emerald, light blue, and turquoise. Ive always been intrigued by this brooch because as a collector it is not like anything else Ive ever seen.
The pin has a bold presentation at 2 1/2" long x 1 1/4" wide. It is very thick and heavy as well. The glazes are in perfect glossy condition with no scratches and the ceramic is perfect with no chips or cracks. The back shows some signs of age just from handling. The scarab is not signed but was certainly handmade and one of a kind.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
* You can add a silver or gold brooch slider to convert this pin to a pendant by checking the option box.
