What a lovely Austrian floral bouquet pin, a vintage design from the 1950s featuring orange and Citrine crystals!
For perhaps just one or two years, sometime during the mid to late 1950s, Austria jewelry designers produced jewelry in new trendy colors of Orange and Citrine. For many years, Austrian jewelry was very look-a-like : loads of pastels. The pink, baby blue, and yellow combinations was a fashion trend that was fading fast. Women wanted more exciting jewelry!
Although this circle pin is not signed, it is clearly Austrian construction. The Orange and Citrine crystals are 7 mm faceted chatons, all prong set in polished gold-plated metal. The pin is a petite in size at 1 1/8" wide, or 2.9 cm. All of the crystals are in perfect brilliant condition with no scratches or chips. There's only some very microscopic hints of gold metal wear from handling on the back. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
