This very unusual vintage cameo pin is unique design made of ivory white celluloid.

The brooch was made in the 1940s and the cameo lady is a left facing lady and in relief. She has braids in her hair and a Victorian style pleated dress. Notice the oval shape in the background that has Art Deco lines or arches in relief. The center of the oval is also open, allowing the color of the attire being worn to be seen behind the pin.

Unsigned, this celluloid cameo pin is medium large in size at 2 1/8" wide x 1 5/8" tall or 55 mm x 40 mm. The entire pin is in exceptional condition and is microscopically clean all around. The celluloid is in tip top glossy condition with no scuffs, scratches, chips, or cracks. The back of the brooch is pristine as well and the brooch has the original 1940s style brass safety pin style clasp.
