Damascene Pin Parasol or Umbrella Brooch 1950s Vintage Jewelry
Made in Spain in the 1950s, this unique Damascene parasol or umbrella pin is an ornate openwork design in 24kt gold plated metal.
The parasol has feminine beaded accents and hints of enamel décor in black, green, and yellow. The parasol is complete with a tear drop pearl handle and a tear drop pearl dangle.
Unsigned, for lack of a place to put the Made in Spain signature, the parasol is medium large in size at 2 7/8" long x 5/8" wide or 7.2 cm x 1.6 cm.
I sincerely doubt this brooch has ever been worn as it is perfect all around like the day it was made 50+ years ago. The gold is brilliant and bright and there is no gold or enamel wear. The entire brooch is microscopically clean and the pearls are perfect as well. The back has the original fine working safety clasp.
